(Colt: We just closed on this interview and we’ve all been kind of chit-chatting and talking. Self realization? Right away you start talking. "Was that okay? What should I do? Holy shit. May be this. May be that.")

(PAC: Yep. Well, that's my thing, Colt. I've got this "rejection complex". I fear failure, that's kind of my thing. That's what kind of holds me back in a lot of aspects in my life especially professionally.)

(Colt: I think it's so important that… like, you have no Facebook for anybody, you have no SNS, no one could get a hold of you. And I don't know if it's together, we were just talking, and like you're "I just have this fear failure". And that was between us… but I think it's important that people know you're fucking real human being with real feelings and this is a real thing. And it's understandable. So, you're saying "If people get a hold of me, they'll have me on a card and what if I fuck up." Right?)

(PAC: Yeah. Well, I guess… Before this podcast, when you suggested the idea of podcast… the alarm bells rang and I've got to speak fluently to the world, and "what if I sound like an ass hole, or what if I sound dumb", you know… It was intimidating. I guess it comes down to this rejection… this failure complex. I don't wanna… again, that's why I don't, may be,  push myself in a lot of aspects of my career because I'm so scared of being rejected, I guess. But that's only being a human, right?)

(Colt: Did you think you were the only one… I guess you're asking me. I have this amazing fears and I've talked about fears in women. And I don't think it's necessarily, for me, it's almost not wrestling anymore, because I'm in a good place in my career right now. But you're too. But that's because you've… do you feel because you hid yourself from  chants of being rejected?)

(PAC: To a certain extent. I think so.)

(Colt: Me, talking about your complacency, and you feel safe in Dragon Gate USA.)

(PAC: I feel like I've got a spot there. And I don't wanna rock the boat because, because I have a job. If I go somewhere else and fail, where does that leave me? Professionally.)

(Colt: So is it fear… professionally or is it emotionally? Do you feel like if you were to not succeed, your mind will explode or something? It's not I'm like a fucking doctor, but I'm really interested.)

(PAC: I think it's professionally, in the sense that… right now, I have a job now and I love this job. I'm so fortunate to have full time job, like I said in this economic climate, there's not a lot of independent guys who could make good living off wrestling. And right now, I do. So, it's… if I go elsewhere, or rock the boat so to speak, and try somewhere else. And it doesn't work or I fail at doing that, I'm left with nothing and I'm left without a career. And to go from this job that I love and so passionate about, to nothing back to normal life. How does someone deal with that?)

(Colt: I once… I remember… I think….Where was the last Wrestlemania?)

(PAC: Atlanta.)

(Colt: Was it Atlanta? I came up to you and I was like "Do you want to go to  the WWE?" and I was like "I think you're going to be a person there". Do you remember this conversation?)

(PAC: I do. It was in a… what was the restaurant called? Shakins?)

(Colt: So, I say that to you. What goes through your mind?Is it not positivity?)

(PAC: It's obviously… I'm flattered that you think that of me, but at the same time, I'm so nervous of the prospect of…)

(Colt: Do you start thinking? "Now I gotta do a tryout, now they'll hate me, now," is that…what's one? What's like one and two?)

(PAC: I guess the first thing I think about is worst possible outcome. And that's how just my brain works. Again, at the start of my career, I started with very little confidence, and I've built up a lot at a time, and now I feel like a confident person, as far as the in-the-ring concerns. As far as… I feel like I'm good at my job if that makes sense. But at the same time, going to a new environment, nobody knows me and… like… people could hate me. And where does that leave me?)

(Colt: But you're such a risk taker in the ring and it seems like you're not a risk taker almost in life.)

(PAC: Is that being a pussy?)

(Colt: No,I think… but what I think is great is that we just had this conversation and it seems to me that you had a real… I don't know, like going forth from this point on.Do you think you changed? Or do you think you still hold your guns? Because you just might hold your guns. And do you want to change or do you…?)

(PAC: I absolutely want to change. I mentioned to you after the podcast, it almost felt like a pivotal point in, may be my career. Because, again I said, before the podcast, you approached me with the idea and all of the sudden, alarm bells rang, and I was nervous, my heart started beating. But then we did it, and I felt, especially in the second half of the podcast, I got very comfortable in… once it was done, I almost felt, not euphoric, but very uplifting feeling that I've done it and achieved it. I was very satisfied. And then you mentioned, may be, think about getting a Twitter, or think about promoting yourself like that. And I thought, you know may be, you're right into… to have a influence on yourself… who's almost created this media empire for yourself and the pro wrestling business. And to have that influence on me, it's important for me.)

(Colt: But it should be more than a… and the whole point of this podcast is really… it's more than a career breakthrough and if you say that -I cant' sit in your brain and think- but, it should also be more of a life breakthrough, like… because this is our life. And like yes, you could say "career", but what do we really have outside of you know…)

(PAC: You're right. You're correct. Absolutely.)

(Colt: And I'm glad that you come on here and… just the idea… it's so different for so many different people, it's the idea that, just to finish a forty minute conversation is a exuberance and a relief. And so, may be just the conversation of us just sitting around and talking…)

(PAC: I guess, that shows where I'm at. To so many people, that comes  naturally. But to me. I guess this rejection, all this failure complex, whereby, whenever I think of something, I'll think of failure and it's not gonna go right rather than I think this is going to go awesome and I'm going to kill it.)

(Colt: Have you ever talked to anybody about this?Is this the first?)

(PAC: It is. Is this too honest?)

(Colt: No, that's great. But I don't want to be fake doctor, um… and I don't know… but I do feel that… and one thing I love about… it's almost as lame… makes me sound like a pussy. One thing I love about just wrestling locker rooms is when you find your real buddies, your real friends. You feel… In front on Punk or Generico or Steen or whatever,I can tell them my real… stuff that I've held in for almost years. And I can say to them, sometimes I just slip it out. And like say "Oh, I do this." and see if they are like… can relate with me. Or they make fun of me. And for the most part, it's… they don't make fun of me. And then we start a conversation, then all of the sudden, all my fears and all my problems… now we're conversing, we're sharing stories and… you sharing a story, let's say… and even to get in real fucking horrible material, like you know, sexually. If we talk about sexual experiences, and may be I have a problem or I have fear of that, and I talk to one of the boys, and I'm like "oh my god. they're gonna hate me,judge me, or think I'm an idiot." Then they start talking. Now, we have this whole bond, whole conversation…)

(PAC: That's like human nature, you share problems. And you find that… when you do share your problems, these are problems that everybody has. But because we have this insecurities and we are nervous. We keep these things to ourselves. These things are amplified in our head, and we think that it's like just us. But everybody feels that.)

(Colt: And that's why I'm glad that you came and said this. And I think, as you find your wrestling peers, the idea of rejection, it's real. And especially, I'd say everywhere, but especially in independent wrestling, because like you said… I almost feel like in WWE, if you ever get rid of, then you could go to independent wrestling. But where do you go to after independent wrestling? That is so real, not just for you, but for all of us. And even in WWE, those guys feel that. And I have friends that were up there and got rid of, and no where to go, and they don't understand independent wrestling, that's all they know.)

(PAC: And also there's a sight of it whereby, it's so hard to make a living in this business, this independent wrestling, this side of things. And I almost feel, I should be very grateful for my spot in Dragon Gate, because I'm sure there's many many wrestlers out there who would love to be in the position that I'm in. So why should I aspire for more? When I have such an awesome position where I'm at.)

(Colt: I also then want to bring it back to… I've seen the first thing with Punk, so I won't use Punk as an example, but let's say "John Cena." Like, you probably think he's No.1, made it to where he's at. I bet you he has fears. So, to you… have you ever met John Cena?)

(PAC: I haven't,no.)

(Colt: He's probably just some dude that you think about who dominates wrestling and he's almost on a pedestal. But if you really think about it… fucking Hulk Hogan. You know Hulk Hogan has… with his wife, and his kids, and his son fucking doing what he did to the… think about the real… and he puts on a show. Like you said, you were like "Oh, I don't know if I should show real feelings, because I want to be held in a light of a superstar". But Hulkster puts on a show… you know, if… as a fan, if I just saw some  real true feelings,I feel like I'd be drawn much more to Hulk. And I would be more willing to support him in his career. At this point, he's just a dude with fake silk hair, and a bleached mustache almost.)

(PAC: I guess it comes down to everybody has these insecurities and fears. But some people deal with it better than others. May be I haven't been dealing with it the best way. I have kind of been just keeping myself to myself, and not rocking the boat.)

(Colt: But, you will get rejected.)

(PAC: Absolutely.)

(Colt: Know that.)

(PAC: And that's something that I need to deal with.)

(Colt: But what I think is amazing is that… in the podcast that we did, is I brought up that idea with the Sydal match, and that Roderick, and that situation. And I didn't even know this. Like I said, you came back and you fucking rocked it. And you came back to Guerrilla and you didn't let that hold you back. Know that, that happened in your career. and for me, my hopes of you were high. And you didn't hit him. And then you came back and you fucking rocked it, and when you had that, I watched it you do that with Generico, I was like "I knew he had it in him. He's the fucking man." And then my hopes of you went right back to where they were. So they did come back. So, for you to say that this is the first time of saying that…)

(PAC: I guess I had the idea of you should keep this to yourself, because we try to be these stars. And how can someone see somebody as this… almost this superstar… this almost…  this guy, when he has all these human emotions and human insecurities, and I almost felt like I should keep this to myself. And it's not a dumb thing to let everybody know about this.)

(Colt: May be I'm wrong. May be this is a mistake. I don't think so at all. And I know people will reach out to you for this reason alone. I guarantee you.)

(PAC: I mean, this is just me right now. This is who I am. And before we did this podcast, and before we had that conversation, I would never have dreamed of doing this on a public form. But you know… I don't know man… You're someone obviously I look up to and respect very much. And you said may be, this is how it should be, now that business has changed. May be people can relate to the human side of me rather than just the… whatever I do in the ring, or whatever you know.)

(Colt: I think Jimmy Jacobs is a great example of that. You've seen the video that he's put up? And the response… he said that he got…  and I do, I think it's changing and that's important. Again, Vince holds all the cards or whatever, in terms of that, but… That doesn't mean guys into different aspects of wrestling can't be successful with how they perceive and how it should be. And we're doing a good job. And I have my little niche here, you have your fucking… how you perform and whatever, but so I think we need to reach you out to more people. We're gonna get you a Twitter account. This is the goal of this.)

(PAC: Absolutely. This is the turning point of my life. This is when PAC stops being such a little bitch.)

(Colt: But you're almost… in like a shell in a industry that wants you to come out. No one's gonna harp on you for it.)

(PAC: I hope this isn't a mistake. But then this is just me being honest. And if people heard it, you know like, it is what it is and I can't change that.)

(Colt: That's what we should embrace. You're you. That's what we're selling. We're selling you. And I think people will love it. So what we're gonna do is we're gonna get you a Twitter, I'm gonna come back at the end of this, once we put it up. And we'll say what it is, and everyone should follow him. May be you want to hear stories of people having same fears and this is how you make connections with people.)

(PAC: It's interesting, you only live once, so, to learn from other people's experience is so important. I guess this is me, so you know it is what it is…)

(Colt: All right, do you feel a little more off your chest now?)

(PAC: I do, and I feel so much comfortable, talking to you now, than we originally started the podcast.)

http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm4459914
